Kate's learning words as fast as we can spout them these days (gotta start watching my language!) Here she is playing with her small, flightless bird I brought back from New Zealand. What's it called again?

Week 22 Ultrasounds

It’s a baby sister!!! Everything at the ultrasound looked great. Kate seemed pleased with the news, and now we’re working on names. Hooray for not having to buy a whole new wardrobe!!!

Kate's been singing a lot lately. This video is of her singing "Peanut Butter & Jelly", a song we'd never heard of before. She learned it from a teacher at day care. We still haven't heard anyone else sing it but Kate, but it goes

peanut butter

[and jelly] (whispered)

One verse has something about cracking the nuts, which is what she's saying at the end ("crack 'em").

She's also developed the proper rock star fashion sense, as you can see from this photo, taken later the same day. She pulled all this stuff out of her toybox and dressed herself without any help.
